Akira Yamaguchi (1969- ) lived in Kiryu, Gunma prefecture from age 3 until he graduated from high school. He is an outstanding contemporary artist who creates a world of free interplay and fusion between time and space, nature and artifice, with superb technique. The exhibition gives a broad view of Yamaguchi’s art, major works of painting and sculpture as well as recent and previously unexhibited work characterized by humor and a critical point of view.
