Ukiyo-e: A Journey Through the Floating World at Edo-Tokyo Museum, Yokotuna, Sumida-ku, Tokyo

The masterpieces of Ukiyo-e, including representative pieces by Sharaku, Hokusai and Hiroshige, will be collected from Japan and all across the world for exhibition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of International Ukiyo-e Society, which transmits the results of research on Ukiyo-e to the world. Around 340 of works on exhibit will cover entire history of Ukiyo-e.
The exhibition is somewhat like a school textbook that introduces Okubi-e, Yakusha-e, Kamigata-e and landscapes.
