Mount Daisen is a large, volcanic mountain that rises up from sea level to dominate the terrain of western Tottori Prefecture. Part of Daisen-Oki National Park, the 1729 meter high mountain is the tallest in the Chugoku Region and is included on the list of Japan's 100 famous mountains. 
Daisen has not erupted is several thousand years.

Kyoto Takigi Noh at Heian Shrine in Kyoto

A graceful musical theater performed at night in a symbolic shrine of Kyoto, 1st & 2nd June, 2019 | at Heian Shrine in Kyoto
Kyoto Takigi Noh at Heian Shrine in Kyoto features traditional noh theater performances lit by burning torches.
Noh, which is the most ancient form of musical theater in Japan, is performed in the evening darkness amid the illumination of the burning torches. 
Heian Jingu Shrine, where the stage is set up, is a famous shrine built as a partial reproduction of the palace constructed in 794, and its red torii gate at the entrance serves as a symbol of Kyoto. Many people gather to watch the Noh performances in an atmosphere evocative of the ancient capital. (*reference: JNTO)

The festival honors Ryujin, the god of the Tenryu River, and includes kite flying in Hamakita (Hamakita Takoage), a fire-festival parade of a flying dragon's head (Hiryu Himatsuri) and performances of Japanese drums (taiko). 
The Enshu Hamakita Hiryu festival celebrates water, sound and flame.

Many years have passed since the occurrence of the Great Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
The Tohoku Rokkon Sai Festival, where six big festivals in Tohoku banded together and lit a signal fire for reconstruction, attracted nearly 370 thousand and 250 thousand people to Sendai City and Morioka City respectively and served as a powerful reminder to show the unyielding spirits of people in Tohoku to the whole world.
